Race report by Adrian Jefferies
After a very successful summer campaign that saw him crowned the 2017 UK national champion Olly Jefferies got his winter racing programme underway with a win at round one of the EWS series in Essex England Qualifying saw a dominating performance from Jefferies who was fastest in all four rounds, pushed hard by Elliott Harper and Kyle Branson Olly's T4 was the class of the field and went on to take the A final win.

It was almost mirror image in the stock class, once again it was a newly crowned UK champion dominating proceedings, Zak Finlay's win was convincing and he too scored his A final win after taking TQ with four straight wins in qualifying.

The EWS series is seen as the major winter series in the UK s this result bodes well for a competitive winter for Jefferies and Finlay, next of the pair is round one of the XRS Winter series this coming weekend.
